Since 1989 Kansas Citians have had a great deal to be thankful for. That year Boulevard Brewing Company started brewing the first hometown pale ales since the 1940s. Boulevard was soon followed by 75th Street and a group of other Brewpubs most of which have since disappeared. We celebrate the return of fresh brewed beers with our own version of the Kansas City Pale Ale recipe that produces a smooth, medium-bodied and well-hopped beer. Caramel malt is included in the recipe to provide a rich flavor and amber color.
The Kansas City Pale Ale Kit contains:
- Malt extract
- 1 lb of milled specialty grain
- Hops
- Priming sugar
- Fining agents
- Fermentis SafAle US-05 Ale Yeast
Each Bacchus Batches kit is formulated to produce a specific style of beer. Since the quantity and alpha acid in hops vary sometimes significantly from one year to the next or from one bale to the next we adjust the varieties and amounts of hops in Bacchus Batches kit to provide consistent results.
